Condolence

We are shocked and deeply grieved to hear the sudden demise of our beloved friend Tanka Bikram Nebwang, the vice president of Nepal Student Union, central committee on an accident on Pancthar district who was on the way to mass meeting of Nepali Congress. His demise is a great loss to Nepal student Union and Nepali congress as a whole. He was an undoubted and strong and true cadre of Nepali congress.

Though he has departed from our visibility, he is still with us. May God console the bereaved family.

                                  INVITATION

Dear all,

Jay Nepal,

We would like to invite you on the following date and venue to discuss and pass the resolution to restructure and reinvent Nepali Janasamparka Samiti, UK which is both constitutionally and practically void.

Date:    8th November 2008

             2 PM

Venue: North West College London
           Alperton House
             Bridgewater Road

             Wembley, Middlesex
             HA0 1EH

United Kingdom

As you all are aware about the present crises of NPCC UK, and also the move from 17 September 2008 onwards.  Since the last Two months we tried our best to contact the so called President Mr Binod Moktan to resolve the current crises with a reconciliatory approach but without success. Since last two days we have been constantly trying to find an alternative to present crises and had  long discussion with Mr Moktan but all in vain.

We are inviting you to attend genuine Nepali congress cadres’ huge gathering, It will be an opportunity for all Nepali congress cadres and other who want to continue the process of building a vibrant, radical alternative to current Void NPCC UK to come together and form an alternative solution.

We remain committed to the radical policies which have been the cornerstone of NPCC UK and Nepali congress since its inception. Our organizational model is based on plurality, democracy and transparency.

We want to build NPCC UK but we also want to work together with all others who share a vision of a better, more equitable society, to create a broader, united party to represent the interests of all works of lives.

The need for radical change in NPCC UK and in Nepali congress as a whole is pressing and the desire for it widespread. Traditionally, Nepali Congress have been the means of giving shape, leadership and coherence to such desires. But in present circumstances they are simply not up to the task. . The situation now is that by far the majority of people actively pursuing goals of social justice, equality, deeper democracy, a social and environmentally sustainable economy and a demilitarised politics are politically active by being members of other political parties. Its time to ringfenced those members of society and bring within the sphare of NPCCUK and Nepali Congress Party and this cannot be expected from the current leadership.

Shoud you require any further information please do not hestitate to contact us.

Jay Nepal

18 October 2008

Honourable Acting President

Central Committee

Nepali Congress Party

Kathmandu,

Nepal

Dear Honourable President,

Re: Current Situation of Nepali Janasamparka Samiti, UK

Further to our request to dissolve the NPCC UK dated 17 September 2008 on the grounds of the failure to comply the organisational objectives, the so called working committee suspended few working committee members and asked for explanation to those who supported the motion to improve NPCC’s stand in UK. Instead of resolving the matter responsibly, Mr Moktan acted irresponsibly in an indecent, humiliating and declared founder president Purushuttum Poudel and former treasure Bigyan Prasai, executive member Alekh Chauwan, executive member Bishal Sitaula suspended making the situation untenable.

The complete failure of the current leadership cannot be tolerated for the sake of division.

Neither the NPCC-UK’s so called president Mr Moktan showed any initiation to move out of the situation nor the Senior Leaders of Nepali Congress who were visiting London, unfortunately at the invitation of people not related to NPCC-UK but deceiving to be part of NPCC – UK, during the 1st week of October 2008 showed any effort in resolving the crises surrounding the organisation. Regrettably neither of the visiting leaders Ex PM S B Deuba and Ms S Kiorala attempted to address the problems faced by the organisation locally nor they bother to meet up with NC cadres, that both leaders spent their time in sight seeing and meeting and dining with people who never supported the cause put forward by NC and had never participated and contributed in good cause of restoring democracy in Nepal. We made our dire efforts in contacting the both leaders to explain the current situation.

During the visit of leader Deuba and Central committee member Mrs Sujata Koirala , the current NPCC UK central committee could not even organise a single programme for Nepali congress cadres residing in the UK. There were hundreds of Nepali congress cadres in UK who wished to share their views on organisational structure here and in Nepal and discuss about the ongoing crisis in Nepal which is moving towards communist republican set up recently, but any expectations held deep in the heart by the cadres were shattered by the current leadership of NPCC UK. All the programmes attended by the duo leaders were organised by different organisation which are non political and anti congress stances not but NPCC UK committee. Despite hundreds of hurdles and hideouts made by opportunist we managed to meet with them and put the case as clearly and responsibly as possible. During these meeting they were informed of the letter of explanation sent by the Central office to Mr Moktan asking him to explain the points we have raised and reason for his decision to expel genuine cadres including founding president and treasurer of the committee.

‘’Delay to justice is injustice’’. Its time to act not to react. We all the genuine cadres of Nepali Congress Party residing in UK have decided to organise a huge gathering on the first week of November 2008, to pass a resolution on the present situation of NPCC UK and make this organisation lively. This might result into the formation of a fresh and responsible alternative to lead NC activists living in the UK, if any further step is not taken by the central committee immediately.

Lastly but not least, we would also like to appeal to the central committee and all cadres of Nepali congress and other social organisation in UK to boycott the current Void NPCC UK until further decision is made by the huge gathering on 8 November 2008.
